Description
One of the winery’s productions is Villa Marcello Prosecco Extra Dry Millesimato, a sparkling wine made from the Glera and Pinot Blanc varieties grown on the estate itself and all from the same harvest (hence the name millesimato). In the winery, vinification happens in two phases. A first fermentation happens in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and with previously selected yeasts and, after spending 4 months in contact with lees, a second fermentation begins following the traditional charmat method. This is where the wine ferments for 60 days in an autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14°C.
Villa Marcello Prosecco Extra Dry Millesimato 2021 is a fruity sparkling wine. The nose reveals ripe fruit like pear and apple on a floral background. The palate is fine and full on the palate, maintaining that fruity character. Sweet and very flavoursome. Long finish
